Crate Racin’ USA Street Stock Division Officials have issued the following Technical Bulletin which will be in effect for the 9th Annual Southern Street Stock Nationals at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS August 11th-14th. Street Stock Competitors will be limited to a total of 7 tires to use for the event.
The 5 tires used for Qualifying, Heat Races, and B-Mains will be marked in pre-race tech. Two additional tires will be allowed for feature starting cars. Any tires changed from the five (5) presented at pre-race tech would result in the competitor starting on the tail of the next event whether that be a Heat Race, B-Main or Qualifying Feature event. At the start of the Saturday night feature, competitors must have two (2) tires marked from the original five (5) presented at pre-race tech on their car while two new tires will be allowed that do not have to be marked ahead of the Saturday night feature event. Flat tires can be changed during the feature which will also result in being sent to the tail of the field.
If a tire is flat or punctured, competitors will be allowed to replace that tire with a used tire that is approved by Series’ officials to allow them to retain their starting spot. Tire must be presented to series officials and approved/marked for competition.
Competitors are also reminded that grooving and siping are allowed on the Hoosier H500 tire through the end of the 2021 season, and there will be no chemical alteration of tires allowed.
We appreciate everyone working with us on this matter and look forward to seeing all the fans and competitors at “The House of Hook” for the Southern Street Stock Nationals!
