ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock Week 12 action will feature ten races with one on Friday night, and nine on Saturday night. The point leader Dannon LaCoste of Theriot, LA has reached the 11-week mark of his season and will now he will try to net on the lowest weekly total of his best 11 which is a 41.
Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for their National point total.
LaCoste has a best 11-week total of 510 points. The second through tenth-place drivers in the Top 10 of the Street Stock National point standings still have one more week to earn full points before reaching the 11-week mark of their respective seasons.
The 2018 Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock National Champion Ricky Idom of Hattiesburg, MS is second in the 2020 standings with 482 points. Lee Ray of Columbus, MS is third with 481 points, and Carl Kilgore IV of Greenville, MS is fourth with 476 points. Kaleb Vandygriff of Mount Pleasant, TN is fifth with 446 points.
Gary Tucker of Fayetteville, TN is sixth in the Street Stock National standings with 444 points, and Landon Jackson of Norco, LA is seventh with 435 points. Clayton Kilgore of Greenville, MS is eighth with 430 points, and J.R. Brown of Calera, AL is ninth with 424 points. Noel Bailey of Lacey Springs, AL rounds out the Top 10 with 421 points.
Idom has the highest Weekly Point Average (WPA) among the Top 20 in the Street Stock National point standings at 48.20 out of a possible 50. Ray has the second highest WPA at 48.10, and Carl Kilgore IV has the third highest WPA at 47.60. Michael Rodrigue of LaPlace, LA and Jeremy Isbell of Vandiver, AL, who are 11th and 12th respectively in the point standings, are tied for fourth on the WPA List at 46.
Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS will host the lone Friday night Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock race on the Week 12 schedule of events. Then it is on to a busy Saturday night schedule.
Saturday night Week 12 Street Stock races will be held at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN, ECM Speedway in Arkadelphia, AL, Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS, Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS, Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS, Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS, Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN, and Tri County Speedway in Flomaton, AL.
