ADAIRSVILLE, GA – There are eight races on the Week 10 schedule of events for the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock Division. A list of the Week 10 events is listed below.
Drivers in the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock Division will compete for both a weekly point fund and a National point fund over a 22 Week season that runs through November 1. A driver will count his best 11 weekly point races for their
National point total.
With just a couple of weeks until drivers start getting to the 11 Week mark of their respective seasons, the Series like to use a driver’s Weekly Point Average (WPA) to see who’s hot and who’s not in the Top 20 of the point standings. A driver may be high in the point standings just because they have competed in more weeks than another driver.
Dannon LaCoste of Theriot, LA leads the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Street Stock National standings with 423 points after nine weeks of racing. That gives him a WPA of 47 which ranks fourth among the Top 20 drivers in the point standings.
One must go to the fourth-place driver in the point standings to find the driver with the highest WPA. Carl Kilgore IV of Greenville, MS is fourth in the National standings with 394 points, but he has collected them over eight of the first nine weeks of the 2020 Weekly Racing Series season. That give Kilgore the highest Street Stock WPA at 49.25.
The 2018 Crate Racin’ USA Street Stock National Champion Ricky Idom of Hattiesburg, MS is fifth in the National standings with 392 points collected over eight of the nine weeks of racing. Idom has the second highest WPA at 49 among the Top 20 drivers in the Street Stock point standings.
The number of weeks raced and the WPAs for the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Street Stocks have been added to the Top 20 of the point standings posted on the web site at www.crateracinusa.com.
