Week Three: Wilson, Sheasby, and Williams Lead Early Crate Racin’ USA National Points Battles

(Eastaboga, AL – March 13, 2026) – Two weeks of racing are now in the books for the 2026 Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA National Points Championship, and several drivers have emerged as early contenders across the CRUSA Late Models, CRUSA Street Stocks, and the VP Racing Fuels Young Guns Challenge divisions.

With multiple tracks opening their seasons and more racing action scheduled across the Southeast, the championship picture is beginning to take shape heading into Week Three.

CRUSA Late Models
In the CRUSA Dirt Late Model National standings, JC Wilson of Harold, Florida holds the early points lead with 50 markers following a strong opening performance that included a victory during the opening rounds of the Late Model Challenge Series at Southern Raceway in Milton, Florida on March 7.

Wilson’s win came as part of a competitive weekend of racing that saw drivers battling for valuable early-season national points.

Week Two also saw Shannon Lee of Lumberton, Mississippi pick up a victory at Hattiesburg Speedway on Friday, March 6, giving Lee an early boost in the standings as the season continues to gain momentum.

Wilson currently leads Joseph Joiner of Milton, Florida by just a single point, while Steven Jernigan, Bo Slay, and Austin Franklin round out the top five.

With the top ten separated by just nine points, the Late Model national standings remain extremely tight early in the season. Drivers such as Joey Moxley, Brody Williams, Osman Jones, Kevin Ellis, and Sid Scarbrough are all within striking distance of the lead as Week Three begins.

CRUSA Street Stocks
The CRUSA Street Stock division has been one of the most active divisions to start the year, with several drivers scoring early-season wins across multiple tracks.

Leading the national standings is Bryce Sheasby of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, who has been nearly unstoppable at his home track to open the year. Sheasby captured back-to-back victories at Hattiesburg Speedway on February 27 and February 28, helping him jump out to the early championship lead with 99 points.

Close behind is Malachi Magee of Seminary, Mississippi, who scored a major victory during Week Two at Hattiesburg Speedway on March 6, placing him second in the national standings with 96 points.

Other winners across the opening weeks include Chris Bayhi of Pensacola, Florida, who swept the Street Stock division at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Alabama on March 6 and March 7. Bayhi’s strong weekend performance has helped move him up the national rankings as the season progresses.

Additional early season winners include:
Wyatt Parker (Jay, FL) – Southern Raceway (March 7)
Rod Tucker (Greenville, SC) – Cochran Motor Speedway (March 7)

The Street Stock standings remain incredibly competitive as Calvin Martin, Nevin Gainey, Brandon Parker, Carlos Williamson, and Richard Zeller continue to stay within reach of the championship lead.

VP Racing Fuels Young Guns Challenge
The future stars of Crate Racin’ USA are already making their presence known in the VP Racing Fuels Young Guns Challenge, where Brody Williams of Star, Mississippi currently holds the early points lead with 44 points.

Williams has shown impressive consistency during the opening week of competition to take the top spot in the standings. Rookie driver Briar Cheatham of Ponce de Leon, Florida sits second in the championship chase with 41 points, just three points behind the leader.

The Young Guns Challenge continues to highlight the next generation of talent within Crate Racin’ USA, as young drivers gain valuable seat time while competing for a national championship.
