Sheasby Sets the Pace After Week One of 2026 CRUSA National Points Season

(Eastaboga, AL – March 4, 2026) – The opening week of the 2026 Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA National Points season is officially in the books, and the early championship picture is already taking shape after two nights of competition.

Leading the charge after Week One is Hattiesburg, Mississippi’s Bryce Sheasby, who wasted no time making his presence known in the Street Stock ranks. Sheasby swept both features at Hattiesburg Speedway over the weekend, earning two wins, two Top-5 finishes, two Top-10 finishes, and maximum points to sit atop the standings with 50 markers.

Right on his heels is Ft. White, Florida’s Nevin Gainey, who turned in a consistent opening weekend with a pair of runner-up caliber performances. Gainey sits just one point back with 49 points after recording two Top-5 and two Top-10 finishes in as many starts.

Paducah, Kentucky’s Chris Shelton holds the third position in the standings with 48 points. Shelton matched the consistency of the leaders with two Top-5 and two Top-10 finishes during the opening week, keeping himself firmly in the early title hunt.

Tied at 48 points but fourth in the standings is Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee’s Bubba Vandygriff. Vandygriff collected one Top-5 and two Top-10 finishes to remain within striking distance of the point lead.

Rounding out the Top Five is Saucier, Mississippi’s Brandon Parker with 47 points. Parker earned one Top-5 and two Top-10 finishes in the opening week, showcasing the depth of competition across the Southeast.

Also sitting on 47 points is Carriere, Mississippi’s Calvin Martin, who competed in one feature event and made it count, scoring a Top-5 and Top-10 finish to stay near the top of the standings early in the season.

Seminary, Mississippi’s Malachi Magee currently occupies seventh in points with 46 markers after posting one Top-5 and two Top-10 finishes across two features.

Auburn, Kentucky’s Bobby Gregory stands eighth with 45 points, followed by Ft. White, Florida’s Wesley Wood in ninth with 44 points, and Seminary, Mississippi’s Carlos Williamson rounding out the Top 10 with 43 points.

With just one week completed in the 32-week championship campaign, the battle for the 2026 CRUSA National Championship is already shaping up to be a competitive one. Drivers may count their best 12 finishes toward the national title, meaning consistency and smart scheduling will be key as the season unfolds across nearly 30 sanctioned tracks in seven states.

Week Two competition begins this weekend at CRUSA-sanctioned facilities across the Southeast, as drivers continue their pursuit of valuable national points.
