(Clewiston, FL - February 22, 2025) – Jeff Parsons, hailing from Union Grove, NC, took home the $10,000 grand prize in thrilling fashion on Saturday night, capturing the Crate Racin’ USA Street Stock portion of the prestigious Swamp Cabbage 100 at Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, FL.
Parsons, who started the Tire Zone Turbo 75 Memorial race from the seventh position, fought his way to the front by lap 56. He secured the lead after a fierce battle with several drivers, including Zephyrhills, FL’s Devin McLeod, who led for 30 laps. Other lead contenders included Nevin Gainey (19), Ivedent Lloyd (9), and Jason Garver (2). Once Parsons found his rhythm, he proved unstoppable, crossing the finish line in first to claim the victory.
McLeod, who had a strong performance, ultimately finished in second, while Ivedent Lloyd and Jason Garver rounded out the top four. The event also marked the third different winner in as many years for the CRUSA Street Stock portion of the Swamp Cabbage 100, joining the ranks of past champions Shane Taylor (Trenton, FL – 2023) and Tim Powers (Okeechobee, FL – 2024).
The biggest mover of the race was David McCormack from Okeechobee, FL. Starting from the 25th position, McCormack surged through the field and briefly entered the top 7. After an unfortunate incident, he had to drop to the back of the pack, but McCormack refused to give up, rallying back to finish 11th, gaining an impressive 14 spots.
