(Biloxi, MS – February 3, 2025) – The Mississippi Street Stock Series (MSSS), presented by Jackson Industrial Services, is set for a thrilling 2025 season filled with exciting events and major races across the South. Now entering its eleventh year, the series will once again be sanctioned by Crate Racin' USA and promises an unforgettable lineup for fans and drivers alike.
After a nail-biting 2024 season, Michael Santangelo of St. Rose, LA, claimed his first career MSSS championship, edging out runner-up Hayden Moran by just 21 points, with Caiden Jackson finishing third. Jackson concluded the season with a strong finish, taking home victories in the final two races at Magnolia and Whynot.
Santangelo’s championship adds to a legacy of MSSS drivers that includes former champions such as Brooks Strength (2015), Lee Ray (2016, 2017), Justin McRee (2018, 2021), Jamey Boland (2019), Chad Thrash (2020), Hayden Moran (2022), Cody Chism (2023), and now Santangelo in 2024. The 2024 season also saw four drivers take home two victories each, marking the first time since 2019 that multiple drivers accomplished that feat in a single season.

Series Director Shannon Hiers is excited for the 2025 season, especially the major events planned throughout the year. “The 2025 schedule is loaded with some of the biggest CRUSA races in the South, including the 13th Annual Southern Street Stock Nationals, the SS World Championship, and the Fall Classic, all held at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS,” said Hiers. “We’re also thrilled to return to Magnolia for the Golden Egg Spring Nationals, Clash at the Mag, and Cotton Pickin’ 100, some of the most popular races in the region.”
The 2025 schedule also marks the return of Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS, for the first time since 2015 with the 2025 Gumbo Nationals. Additionally, a double-header weekend will be held at Baton Rouge Raceway and Pike County Speedway on April 25-26, with another race weekend at Baton Rouge on October 30-November 1 for the Louisiana State Championship.
Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL, will also make a return to the schedule with the 3rd Annual Battle at the Beach, scheduled for June 5-7.
The 2025 season boasts a points fund of $10,000, with the series champion set to receive a $4,000 payout at the end of the season.
